Report Cards & Conferences
In backpacks today, you will find your child’s report card. We look forward to seeing you next week to discuss your child’s progress as well as answer any questions you may have.

Assessments
If your child receives a 1 on any type of assessment, please do one of the following: sign the assessment and send it back to school the next day OR write a note in your child’s agenda stating you saw the assessment.

PE Cares Food Drive
The fifth graders are being encouraged to donate “proteins and other.” Tuna fish, peanut butter, baked beans, etc. are suggested, but anything would be appreciated. Toiletries, such as toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, and soap are also being collected. Thanks so much for taking this opportunity to help teach our students about compassion and love for others.

Square 1 Art orders
This Wednesday, November 16 is the deadline for Square 1 Art orders!
The grade with the highest percentage of participation will win an extra CLAY project this year!!! It is a VERY close competition. With just a few more orders placed your grade could win the extra clay project!
Money earned will go toward small and large things for the art room. We REALLY need new staplers, books on different cultures and artists that support the art curriculum, and if enough is raised a new projector and screen. With the addition of another projector in art we would be able to project the demonstration of techniques and a visual of the painting/photograph we are referencing large for all to see. :)
Thank you so much for supporting your young artist and the art program at Park!

Christmas Service Project for 5th Grade
The past two years we have been able to focus our time and resources to help support those less fortunate during the holiday season.  Two years ago we adopted 2 families, providing a many gifts and gift cards.  Last year, we adopted all of the Laurels’ residents, providing them with personal hygiene items, and other small gifts.  We are looking to do something meaningful again this year.  We have a couple of ideas, but if you know of a specific need in the community, please let us know.

Elf Factory (formerly Secret Santa Shop)
This holiday season Elf Factory (™) is coming to our school.  Your child will have the opportunity to participate in a fun and meaningful gift-creating experience.  Order forms came home this past week.
PRODUCT ALERT:  The Joy Banner product (the last item in column two) is not available at this time as it is out of stock. Please do not order the Joy Banner.  SecondLY, ALL students will receive a FREE ornament to work on during their class' time, compliments of Elf Factory! Thank you!"  Froms
Forms are due Friday, November 18 and the workshop will take place on December 7 & 8.
