Middle School Visit
On May 21st, your child will head over to their middle school for a tour and to experience middle school lunch.  A note came home last week explaining the lunch process for that day.  If your child is eating the hot lunch, it costs $2.50, including milk (no money is taken to school; it just needs to be in the student account).  If your child is not eating hot lunch (which we strongly encourage them to), please pack a lunch for them.  Milk will be available for $0.50.  Please refer to the note from Food Service or reach out if you have any other questions.

Save the Date!
On Friday, June 8 at 9:00, we will be celebrating our 5th graders in a special honors ceremony.  Students are encouraged to invite family members to help celebrate the occasion.  Students can wear anything they wish, ranging from appropriate school attire to Sunday best, whatever is best for your family.  A light refreshment and treat will be served at the conclusion of the ceremony with time to take pictures.

End of year push
As the end of the year is winding down we recognize that there will be an end of year push to finish and assess current units of study, as well as end of year assessments.  We will make every effort to give students time to create study guides and give them time to study and prepare.  Please be watching their agendas for information about assessments and partner with us as we prepare them. Next week looks like this: Math unit 8 test and Opinion Writing On Demand on Thursday; Math Units 1-5 Friday-we’ve been reviewing for this one in class.
