Camp Pendalouan Update
There will be a mandatory parent meeting Tuesday, April 18th at 7pm in our gym.  Please make every effort to attend with your child.  Lori Wilson, YMCA Camp Pendalouan director, will be here with a slideshow presentation, explaining all about camp life.  She will also answer any questions you or your child may have.  After this meeting, there will be a short meeting for the parent counselors going to camp.

Middle School
This year, all middle school visits and meetings will occur after the M-STEP. Look for more information after spring break regarding dates. Here are just a few:
  • April 24; Middle School Tour to Riley during the school day
  • April 25: Middle School Tour to Baldwin during the school day
  • Week of May 8th:  Middle School Counselors visit to answer questions
  • May 12:  Instrument fittings for those interested in band/orchestra during the school day
*A parent letter was sent home on 4-13-17 explaining the process for getting a hot lunch during our middle school visits.  Please read that carefully to know what you need to do to make sure your child has proper funds in his/her account.

Parent Information Meetings for Orchestra/Band
May 15 Baldwin St. Middle School Cafeteria 7:00 P.M.
May 17 Riley St. Middle School Cafeteria 7:00 P.M.

These meetings are for the parents to get additional information on the band and orchestra programs as well as hear presentations from music companies on how to get an instrument for their child. The meetings are identical and parents may attend either meeting at either school no matter where their student will be attending middle school.

M-Step is Half Done!
Your 5th grader(s) have done a great job this week persevering through a long ELA test, full of reading selections, questions, and writing tasks.  Next week, they will complete the math and social studies portions; please continue to encourage your child to do his/her best.  Thank you!
