5th Grade News- Blog Update

Camp Pendalouan Can Drive
Our final can drive for camp will take place right after Christmas break. Monday, Jan 4th  to Friday, Jan 8th. The reason for this time frame is hopefully we can return people’s holiday cans.

Christmas Program
This coming Tuesday will be our annual Christmas Program at Fellowship Reformed Church.
Christmas Program Schedule
6:15 K-2 students head to their classrooms
6:30-7:00 K-2 Performance
7:15 3rd-5th students head to their classrooms  
7:30-8:00 3rd-5th Performance

Christmas at the Laurels
We are so excited to go to the Laurels next Thursday.  We are walking over at 1:50 pm.  We will head back to school at 3:20 pm.  If you are volunteering, you can either walk with us or meet us there.  We will be presenting our goody bags, handing out some Christmas cards, and playing some games with the residents.

Subject Overview
Reading:  Students are studying Non-fiction, the skills and habits necessary to read this genre.
Writing:  Students will be creating an informational text on how an animal, of their choosing, adapts.
Math: Students are learning how to multiply whole numbers as well as decimals.
SS:  Students are studying Three Worlds Meet-Europe, America, & Africa.
Science: Students are learning how animals adapt in their environment.
