Christmas at the Laurels

During this Christmas season, the fifth grade class would like to spread some Christmas cheer to the residents at the Laurels.  We hope this will be a neat opportunity for students to get in the spirit of the season and encourage others right here in our own community!  We would like to assemble some Christmas Goody Bags and then deliver them to the residents on Thursday, December 17th.  As part of this experience, we’d also like to hang out at the Laurels for a little while and play some games with the residents.  If you would like to join us and help supervise a small group, indicate on the next page.  We’ve listed some suggestions of what we’d like to include in the goody bags below:
  • Toothpaste/Toothbrushes
  • Soap
  • Shampoo
  • Deodorant
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Hand Lotion
  • Combs/Brushes
  • Shaving Cream
  • Socks
  • Word Search puzzle book
  • Crossword puzzle book
  • Card Games
  • Note cards/envelopes or other stationery
  • Pens, markers
  • Small calendars
  • Christmas mailboxes (found at dollar store)
  • Christmas Candy (individually wrapped)
  • Gum or mints

OriginalIf you would rather make a monetary donation, the fifth grade teachers plan on doing a little last minute shopping to purchase some items in order to fill the gift bags to capacity.

All donations should be at school no later than Monday, December 7th.  

We will be assembling/decorating goody bags the week of December 14th and delivering them on the 17th.

We hope you all enjoy this season; we look forward to partnering with you to make it extra special this year for the residents at the Laurels!
